We are celebrating our 25 years by bringing you the story of Contact and the people who have made it happen, and our archive is still there for you to access at any time, and below you can read the story of Contact, how it came into being and the wonderful reflections of the people who have made it happen over the years.

When and how Contact will re-emerge and evolve will be determined by those who become involved.

Olympic Tibetans

July 21, 2016;

Two Tibetans will compete in the Rio 2016 Olympics in Brazil next month, representing China. Choeyang Kyi, a 20km race walker from Tsochang in Amdo won a silver medal in the London 2012 Games and Topgyal is a marathon runner from Lhasa. Chinese state run China Tibet News said his participation demonstrates that Tibet has “gained great achievements in social and economic development.”
