Arrests in Hong Kong

April 27, 2017;

Two pro-independence lawmakers in Hong Kong have been detained, allegedly for unlawful assembly. Yau Wai-ching and Baggio Leung Chung were apparently arrested in connection with their attempt to enter into the Legco in November last year after they had been barred entry to retake their oaths as lawmakers, and are known to have displayed a flag with the slogan “Hong Kong is Not China”.
