We are celebrating our 25 years by bringing you the story of Contact and the people who have made it happen, and our archive is still there for you to access at any time, and below you can read the story of Contact, how it came into being and the wonderful reflections of the people who have made it happen over the years.

Another Monk Sentenced

January 2, 2014;

Gendun Gyatso, 48, a monk from the Bora Monastry in Labrang, was sentenced to six years in prison on charges of murder on Dec 11. Police say that he prevented police from extinguishing the fire on the body of Sungdhue Kyab, a Tibetan who immolated himself on Dec 2. Gendun was sentenced by the Sangchu County People’s Court.
