We are celebrating our 25 years by bringing you the story of Contact and the people who have made it happen, and our archive is still there for you to access at any time, and below you can read the story of Contact, how it came into being and the wonderful reflections of the people who have made it happen over the years.

When and how Contact will re-emerge and evolve will be determined by those who become involved.

Call for Tibetans Release

April 3, 2020;

The US Ambassador at Large for International Religious Freedom, Sam Brownback, has called for the release of religious prisoners due to the risks posed by COVID-19. In a wide ranging statement Brownback stated that imprisoned Tibetan Buddhists “should all be released in this time of pandemic”. The ambassador went on to add that governments should “state very clearly” that religious minority communities are not the source of COVID-19.
