We are celebrating our 25 years by bringing you the story of Contact and the people who have made it happen, and our archive is still there for you to access at any time, and below you can read the story of Contact, how it came into being and the wonderful reflections of the people who have made it happen over the years.

Demonstrators Shot

July 14, 2015;

Thousands of Tibetans have gathered to demonstrate and protest about the death of Tenzin Delek Rinpoche in a Chinese prison. In Nyachuka County in Karze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Chinese police opened fire on the crowd and threw teargas shells. 15 people, five of them elderly, sustained serious gunshot wounds. Security forces are now deployed in the area and movement is restricted.
