We are celebrating our 25 years by bringing you the story of Contact and the people who have made it happen, and our archive is still there for you to access at any time, and below you can read the story of Contact, how it came into being and the wonderful reflections of the people who have made it happen over the years.

When and how Contact will re-emerge and evolve will be determined by those who become involved.

Nov 10: Voting!

November 14, 2017;

Tibetans living in Himachal Pradesh have voted for the first time in the state assembly election. There are around 1,000 Tibetan voters in the Dharamshala region. The Central Tibetan Administration has asked Tibetans to not openly support any parties. Phayul reports a local shopkeeper as saying that now Tibetans are a considerable vote bank, “ministers and officials have started to look after our welfare more keenly”.
